The consortium has developed three main research strands through engagement with the ARTIST ROOMS collection. Art and its histories The ARTIST ROOMS collection is of major significance and richness. Engagement & learning Engagement and learning in UK museum and gallery settings is a major area of research and is already central to museum-led research on ARTIST ROOMS. The material collection The Material Collection research brings to the museum conservation departments a consortium covering technical and material problems together with aspects of collection care and management research across the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow.
