Venue: Alison House, Atrium (G10) Academic events such as symposia and conferences are a great way to network, share information, and get advice from peers on our research. Several funding opportunities exist to support postgraduate students who want to host their own event. In this workshop session, we'll provide some information on how to apply for these funds, and experienced academic event organisers will give some tips on how to organise an event. We'll also brainstorm ideas on cross-disciplinary topics that could provide a focus for a student-led event in the coming year.
