Abstract

In this presentation I survey ongoing new musical multimedia experiments and entrepreneurial activity to understand how popular music practices intersect with digital technologies at their moment of emergence in the second decade of the twenty-first century. Biography

Nicola Dibben is Professor in Music, and Faculty Director of Research at the University of Sheffield. Her publications in psychology of music and popular music studies include the co-authored Music and Mind in Everyday Life (2010), edited Sounds Icelandic (2019) and monograph Björk (2009) that lead to a collaboration on the artist’s multi-media app album, Biophilia (2011)
